The late Brian Chira’s grandmother held a house opening ceremony to officially move into a home built for her in memory of her late grandson.

The house built with TikTokers’ contributions has been dubbed Chira Clan, a name that the late TikToker used to refer to his supporters.

According to the grandma, she moved into the new house months after receiving an eviction notice from her prior landlord.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chira’s grandmother disclosed that the events observed during Chira’s funeral ritual prompted her landlord to remove her from the property she was living in.

“Where we were living was a rental house and the landlord saw many people during the burial and he was shocked.  He ordered us to move out.

So I built this house in two months, we were building at a time we were being evicted from the other place. I don’t know how he interpreted the large crowd that came to the burial. We were given a notice for about two weeks,” Chira’s grandmother said.

The grandma went on to ask Kenyans to pray for her as she embarks on a new adventure in her own home.

A few months ago, TikTok users and well-wishers donated at least Sh7 million to help build a house for Chira’s grandmother.
