Daddie Marto Responds to Cheating and Abuse Allegations by Estranged Wife Koku Lwanga

Celebrated Kenyan actor and media personality Martin Githinji, popularly known as Daddie Marto, has publicly responded to a wave of serious allegations made against him by his estranged wife, Koku Lwanga.

“First and foremost, I want to state unequivocally: I do not condone violence of any kind—physical, emotional, or psychological. I also unequivocally reject being the subject of false and harmful accusations,” he said.

The actor emphasized that while his initial hope was to handle the matter privately for the sake of his children, the growing public discourse around the issue had made it necessary for him to speak out.

“The recent online narrative presents a significantly distorted and one-sided picture of events, omitting crucial context and the full truth,” he added, noting that evidence exists that could provide a clearer account of the situation.

Marto revealed that he is currently cooperating with legal authorities and has taken steps to ensure the safety of everyone involved. He also noted that he had sought legal redress and would continue to defend his name through lawful means.

“Rather than engage in public confrontations, I believe it is essential to allow the appropriate channels to handle this matter thoroughly, fairly, and with the dignity it deserves,” he stated.

Describing the situation as “incredibly heartbreaking,” Marto acknowledged the emotional toll that comes with separation—especially where children are involved—but made it clear that he would not sit back as what he termed “slander and public harassment” attempted to rewrite history.

To his supporters, the actor expressed gratitude for their patience and trust during this difficult time, and urged the public to show “restraint, compassion, and understanding.”

“To my children, please know that I will always be here, present, and honest with you,” he said in closing. “I am still processing much of this in real time, but I am committed to navigating this challenging period with integrity, dignity, and respect for all.”
