The East African Breweries Limited (EABL) has announced a 100 per cent refund for revelers who had purchased tickets for day 2 of the event dubbed Walker Town Festival.

This follows what revelers termed as a bad experience on the second day of the event due to rain and other conditions.

The refunds will be processed within the next two weeks.

“In light of the circumstances, we will be issuing 100% refund of the cash value that each ticket holder spent to acquire their ticket for Day Two of the WalkerTown 2024 Festival.

“Refunds will be processed within the next two weeks. This is a reflection of our commitment to fairness and respect for the trust you placed in us,” the organisers said in a statement on Monday.

The organisers noted that while they strived to give the best experience, the unforeseen challenges affected the sound system causing significant delays, which saw cancelation of shows by some of their key acts of the night.

“This resulted in the delayed performance by Miss Lauryn Hill and regrettably, the cancellation of our brand partner Nyashinski’s performance, which deeply impacted the overall festival experience.

“We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to everyone who was affected. We understand the importance of meeting the high expectations we consistently strive to deliver.”

The apology follows an uproar by social media users over the event.
