A few days ago, the Titan Complex in Kilimani came alive with colour, scent, music, and celebration as Monde Des Parfum officially opened the doors to its first physical store.
What began as a modest online candle brand in 2022 has evolved into one of Kenya’s most exciting luxury lifestyle labels — and the grand launch proved just how deeply the brand has resonated with its loyal clientele.
The launch drew a vibrant crowd of returning customers, supporters, fragrance lovers, lifestyle enthusiasts, and potential buyers who gathered to witness the birth of a new chapter for the brand.
Warm, sophisticated, and stunningly curated, the new space mirrored Monde Des Parfum’s ethos: refined luxury, delivered with intention.
The event was energetically hosted by media personality Laura Mbatha, whose charm and effortless command kept the audience engaged. Entertainment for the night was courtesy of fast-rising stars X.O and Muthoka, who serenaded guests with soulful live performances — the perfect soundtrack for an evening dedicated to scent, creativity, and celebration.

But the highlight of the event was our sit-down with Brian Muriithi, the Founder, CEO, Chandler, and the visionary behind Monde Des Parfum.
His passion for fragrance and his unwavering belief in the brand’s mission shone boldly throughout the conversation.
“This Is My Love Letter to the World” — Inside the Mind of the Founder
Brian describes Monde Des Parfum with a warmth and emotional depth one rarely associates with business.
“This is Monde Des Parfum, and it’s a Kenyan brand. Monde Des Parfum means ‘House of Fragrance’ when translated. We started off in 2022 as a candle brand, and we have grown into a lifestyle brand… home fragrances, body care soon to launch, and many other things. This is my love letter to the world.”
He shares that the brand is rooted in personal passion. An avid collector of fragrances, Brian longed for a way to express his own interpretation of scent — not through international labels, but through a Kenyan lens.

“Monde Des Parfum is a passion. I started this because I’m an avid collector of fragrances and scents, and I thought; why not give my own translation of fragrances to the world?”
Yet the journey hasn’t been linear. Initially envisioned as a niche fine-fragrance brand, the realities of cost pushed the team to pivot.
“Initially it was supposed to launch as a nosy fragrance, but we changed the strategy when that became more expensive. So we launched it as an online brand — but we are here now with a physical location.”
The evolution of the brand, from one product category to an expanding lifestyle range, is anchored by one value: quality.
“Our production process is unique and smooth, and it ensures that we get a quality and long-lasting product. What I want right now with this launch is luxury at an affordable price. I want to make sure that every home in Kenya can experience what luxury is.”

To Brian, luxury isn’t about inaccessibility or price tags — it is about craftsmanship, intention, and experience.
“Luxury does not have to come at a billion shillings, but at an affordable price.”
Why a Physical Store Now?
As the brand grew, so did its community — a loyal base that repeatedly championed the need for a walk-in space.
“A lot of our customers asked us for a physical location because they want to come and experience the scent before they buy.”
Opening the store at Titan Complex marks a milestone, but for Brian, it is also a spiritual moment.
“Dare to dream and ask the universe what you want because God is listening and He answers prayers.”
He attributed the night’s success, not only to personal ambition, but to the unwavering support of customers who believed in the brand from day one.
“Mine is to say thank you for supporting us all these years. Without you we wouldn’t be here today. We can’t wait to see where you take us next, and where Monde Des Parfum will go in the future.”

Company Profile: From Candle Brand to Award-Winning Lifestyle Label
Monde Des Parfum was founded in 2022 under Mudee Concepts Limited. From simple candle-making experiments, the brand has expanded into:
Room and linen fragrances
Luxury diffusers
Bespoke lifestyle scents
Soon-to-launch body care line
Their products are created using 100% pure soy wax and premium natural oils, a hallmark of their commitment to purity and quality.
Over the years, Monde Des Parfum has collaborated with globally recognized brands, crafting custom scents for: L’Oreal Paris, Tanqueray Gin, Uncover Skin and other reputable partners.
Despite operating exclusively online since inception, demand and customer loyalty paved the way for the opening of their first brick-and-mortar store, now located on the Mezzanine Floor, Titan Complex, Chaka Road, Kilimani.
Brian’s accolades themselves speak to his dual brilliance as both a legal mind and creative entrepreneur. Beyond being an Advocate and Managing Partner at Muriithi Muthomi Associates Chambers, he has been:
Nominated 3 times for Young Lawyer of the Year
Recently nominated for the prestigious Top 40 Under 40 Africa
Winner of the Manufacturer of the Year Award (2024) at the East Africa FOYA Awards
The evening’s launch, as he emphasized, was a thank you gesture to customers who have walked with the brand through every chapter.

A Night That Marked the Beginning of a New Era
The opening of Monde Des Parfum’s store was more than an event — it was the unveiling of a Kenyan dream. A dream built on daring, craftsmanship, and a belief that local luxury can stand proudly on any global stage.
Between the live performances, the heartfelt speeches, the warm ambience, and the unveiling of new offerings, the night beautifully captured everything Monde Des Parfum represents: identity, passion, resilience, and the art of scent-making.
If this launch is anything to go by, the House of Fragrance is only just getting started — and Kenya is watching proudly.
