“I am coming for you,” Businessman Jimi Wanjigi has sent a message to President William Ruto after he was released on a Sh10 million cash bail, following his arrest on Monday.

He was represented by Senior Counsel Paul Muite, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Willis Otieno.

Speaking outside the Milimani Courts, Wanjigi dared Ruto to face him head-on and in the political field, instead of going after him at his family home.

“I want to address William Ruto here. The courts today have upheld the constitution of this country… William Ruto why do you fear me? If you fear me be a man, come deal with me properly in the field of politics not in my home terrorizing my family and not in these courts with trumped-up charges.

“Know today, I am coming for you because I believe Ruto must go,” Wanjigi said.

He insisted that Ruto is afraid of the way they are changing the politics of the country daring him to come debate him on the economy.

Wanjigi thanked his family for standing with him.

The businessman was arrested on Monday after he appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) following summons.

Wanjigi was arrested on Monday hours after he presented himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters for grilling.

He was detained overnight at Kamukunji police station.

A few weeks ago, police had camped at Wanjigi’s home for over two days searching for him.

They claimed that he was behind the anti-government Nane Nane protests that were held on August 8, 2024.
