The finalists for the highly anticipated 2025 Bobea Leadership Awards have been announced, featuring a dynamic mix of Kenya’s most influential figures from politics, arts, and civil society.
The list sees household names like Sauti Sol’s Bien-Aimé Baraza, comedian and activist Eric Omondi, creative Njugush, Rapper King Kaka and journalist Lynn Ngugi nominated alongside top-performing governors, senators, and MPs.
The announcement marks the culmination of a vibrant public nomination phase that concluded on June 5th, reflecting a strong national interest in celebrating exemplary leadership. According to the Bobea Awards secretariat, a team of 20 seasoned professionals reviewed the widespread public submissions to shortlist the top 10 finalists for each category.
This year’s nominees highlight a growing recognition of leadership that extends beyond traditional politics.

In the Politically Upright Public Figure category Bien Aimasoul, Eric Omondi, Njugush, Lynn Ngugi and King Kaka will be battling for the prestigious award.
The journey now moves to a public voting phase, putting the power to decide the ultimate winners back in the hands of the Kenyan people.
The entire process will culminate in a grand celebration at the Bobea Leadership Awards Gala Dinner, scheduled for July 18th at the prestigious Movenpick Hotel in Westlands, Nairobi. The event promises to be a tribute to the collective spirit of integrity, innovation, and progress that the awards represent.
