Aspiring politician and musician Kasmuel McOure aka Kaskazini has called out Kenyans threatening to cancel ‘Anguka Nyayo’ hitmakers Wadagliz for performing at Mashujaa Day celebrations.
McOure accused netizens of being hypocrites for pointing fingers at the group yet they can’t do the same to their elected leaders.
He argues that threatening to boycott Wadagliz and their music is a total pretence from Kenyans because they did not even make the group.
“Before you pretend to cancel Wadagliz, cancel the oppressive politicians, the lawyers who defend them, the doctors who treat them, the engineers who work for GoK, the Architects who draw the plans, the Teachers who teach their children, etc,” McOure said.
“Your spite for artists in this country is so deep-seated that you don’t even notice it,”.
“You are shamelessly running a campaign on your page to cancel Wadagliz right? Because they performed at Mashujaa Day- a state function. This country is anything but an artiste.
There is no difference between you and that dictator we are trying to oust. There is no difference between you and the system you are pretending to fight.
McOure further stated that the Anguka Nayo song came out way before the Gen-Z protests and therefore no one should try and claim it or gate-keep.
He accused all propagates of canceling Wadagliz as mere haters who could not stand young people’s wins.
“You just want to spread hate… change is not gonna come because you are a little hater…”.
He praised Wadagliz saying; “Kazi poa and continue doing what you do best and don’t listen to haters. Make your art and please do care about these people, they gonna consume it anyway,”.
Also, remember it is just a handful of people who are spreading the hate but the country loves you and for what you are doing for the craft,”.
