List of musicians & DJs performing at Walker Town Day One

East African Breweries PLC (EABL), through its Johnnie Walker brand, has unleashed names of musicians and DJs who will be headlining Day One of the upcoming Walker Town Festival.

The list seen by Famous Media features; Nigeria’s Rema, Kenya’s Bien-Aime Baraza, and fast-rising British rapper Arrdee.

Other superstars on the lineup are Buruklyn Boyz, Fathermoh, Maanday Kabaya,  Harry Craze, and Wadagliz.

Those spinning at the concert include; DJ Grauchi, DJ Pierra Makena, DJ SirM, DJ Mista C, and DJ Pskratch.

The MCs for the night will be Kiss FM’s Kwambox and MC Benvic.

Fast-rising British rapper Arrdee has already confirmed that he will be coming to Kenya for Walker Town.

“See you soon Kenya,” read a caption on his Instagram while sharing the Walker Town poster.

Day Two of Walker Town

On the other hand, American rapper Lauryn Hill has confirmed that she will perform at the upcoming Walker Town Festival scheduled for September 28th and 29th 2024.

Ms Hill said she is excited to be headlining day two of the Walker Town Festival at Laureate Gardens, Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani.

She went on to state that the last time she was in Nairobi she was pregnant with her firstborn son Zion – but now she is coming back to share her music with her incredible fans.

“Mambo Nairobi! It’s official, we’re coming to Kenya! Fun fact: The first time I visited Nairobi—- I was pregnant with my firstborn son, Zion!

 “I’m excited to return and share my music with the incredible people of Kenya. Next Sunday 29th September at Walker Town Nairobi. Tickets are on sale now! Nawapenda! Bless,” Hill’s statement read.

The Eight-time Grammy award winner will share the stage with Kenyan superstar Nyashinski.

Nyanshinki’s presence at the concert guarantees a line-up of extraordinary performances for music lovers and fans of the iconic Johnnie Walker brand. 

Ms. Lauryn Hill, celebrated for her pivotal role as a pioneering member of The Fugees, is globally recognised for her trailblazing contributions to hip-hop, R&B, and soul.

The Fugees’ ground-breaking 1996 album, The Score, redefined hip-hop, while Ms. Hill’s solo masterpiece The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill cemented her legacy as one of the most influential and enduring artists of her generation.
