Recently, Heepsy evaluated 35 famous couples to discover the most popular ones for the year 2024.
The study created a dataset with metrics such as couples’ age gap, relationship status, and timeframe.

The study measured their popularity and social media presence by analyzing Google searches, publications, and Instagram hashtags including their joint names.
Finally, a composite score was computed to establish the final ranking.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez top the ranking with the highest composite score. Their strong performance is driven by a large number of Google searches at 59.2 million, significant media coverage with 169,911 articles, and a popular hashtag, #Bennifer, which has over 115,000 uses on Instagram.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce take second place with a composite score of 47.75. Despite their new and rumored relationship, their popularity is reflected in 19.9 million Google searches and an impressive 886,377 articles. The hashtag #TaylorAndTravis, though new, has already gained traction with 14,094 uses.

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner take third spot with a score of 45.1. Their relationship is one of the most intriguing and closely watched, making them a prominent couple in the public eye. They earned 48.5 million Google searches, the second-largest on the list, and 55,604 articles. On the other hand, their social media hashtag, #TimotheeAndKylie, is less widely used, with 200 mentions.

Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber hold the fourth position with a composite score of 42.07. Married since September 2018, their relationship has been well-documented from the start. The couple enjoys a dedicated following, evident in the 5.7 million Google searches and 22,541 articles covering their relationship. The hashtag #Jailey is hugely popular, with over 826,000 uses on Instagram, the highest number on the list, reflecting their strong social media presence.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, who have been in a relationship since 2020, take the fifth spot in this ranking with a score of 40.79. With 38.6 million Google searches and 56,267 articles written about them, they are frequently in the public eye. The hashtag #RihannaAndASAP has been used 1,583 times on Instagram, reflecting their popularity.

In sixth place are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, two of the most discussed couples in recent years, with a score of 38.22. Their relationship, marked by their royal wedding in May 2018 and their ultimate departure from royal duties, has kept them in the headlines, earning them the second-largest number of articles at 291,232 articles and 13.7 million Google searches. The hashtag #MeghanAndHarry has over 214,000 uses on Instagram, showing the public’s continued interest in their story.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively married since 2012, ranked seventh on this list with a score of 35.21. They have a solid presence in the media, with 26.5 million Google searches and 84,212 articles written about them. The hashtag #BlakeAndRyan has been used 3,564 times on Instagram, reflecting their popularity.

Taking the eighth spot are Zendaya and Tom Holland, whose relationship began in 2021. Their romance, blossoming from their on-screen chemistry in the “Spider-Man” films, has captured the hearts of many fans. Despite only 1.4 million Google searches, their relationship has been covered in 41,317 articles. The hashtag #Tomdaya is highly popular, with over 412,000 uses on Instagram, indicating a strong fan base.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, who recently separated in 2023, rank ninth with a composite score of 31.67. Their relationship, which began with their marriage in 2019, was widely celebrated, and their separation has gained significant media attention, with 1.6 million Google searches and 95,893 articles covering their relationship and split. The hashtag #Jophie has 150,786 uses on Instagram, showing the couple’s impact.

Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando are in the tenth and final place, scoring 29.09. Their relationship, which began in 2022, has remained relatively low-key compared to others on this list. Their media presence is limited, with 12.6 million Google searches and only 3,727 articles written about them. The hashtag #MileyAndMaxx has just 62 uses on Instagram, reflecting their lower public engagement.

A spokesperson from Heepsy commented on the study: “What’s especially intriguing is how the power dynamics shift—some stars shine brightest in the search bar, while others own the hashtag game.  It’s like a popularity contest but with billions of clicks, shares, and likes! It’s a reminder that in today’s world, being talked about isn’t enough; you’ve got to dominate every corner of the internet. This mix of metrics shows us who truly owns the spotlight and why it takes more than just headlines to stay on top in the age of Insta-fame.”
