After days of messy and public drama that shocked fans and rocked Kenya’s social media scene, comedian Mulamwah has finally issued a heartfelt apology to his baby mama Ruth K, their followers, and the wider public.

This comes just hours after Ruth K herself issued a public apology and vowed to do better following their heated online exchange, which saw both parties leak each other’s private images in an emotional tit-for-tat.

In a brief but loaded statement posted online, Mulamwah admitted that his actions were misguided and hurtful.

“I have retraced my steps. I was driven by a lot of factors but that does not justify the actions taken and done. I take back my words,” he wrote.

“Poleni sana to the fans, I have disappointed lots of you in so many ways. Pole sana to R.K Mama Oyando. I forgive you, hope you forgive too. Let’s focus on the work ahead and pray God gives us guidance in making decisions in the future. Baraka tele. Konki.”

Mulamwah’s apology follows a turbulent period of back-and-forth accusations with Ruth K, who had earlier alleged that he shared her private video with her father and brother.

In retaliation, Ruth briefly posted an explicit image of Mulamwah on her Instagram stories, only to delete it and issue an apology of her own.

In her own emotional statement, Ruth K admitted she had acted out of pain and disappointment but ultimately chose to take the high road for the sake of her son, her healing, and her growth.

“I want to start by saying — I’m truly sorry. I know today’s posts may have come off the wrong way, and I take full responsibility. I should have done better. I will do better,” she wrote.

Ruth revealed that behind the scenes, she has been battling a quiet storm, one that has forced her to confront how much pressure she faces as a single mom.

“As a single mom, raising my son is both my greatest responsibility and my biggest blessing. He’s the reason I fight so hard… and the reason I’ve chosen to take a step back and refocus on what really matters — him, my growth, and my brand.”

She further added that while she is not perfect, she is choosing to evolve and move forward with maturity and intention.

“This isn’t just an apology. It’s a new chapter.”

The reconciliatory tone from both sides has been met with relief from fans who had grown increasingly alarmed at how the situation had escalated, especially involving revenge porn, which is considered a serious offense under Kenya’s Cybercrimes Act.

With both parties now choosing accountability and peace, many are hopeful that this marks the end of their toxic public fallout and the beginning of a more responsible co-parenting journey — one rooted in respect, healing, and maturity.

As Ruth put it best:

“I’m choosing to move forward with more grace, more maturity, and a heart that’s aligned with my purpose.”

And with Mulamwah finally saying “pole” and asking for forgiveness, perhaps this truly is the reset both of them — and their son — urgently needed.
