Pascal Tokodi opens up on his Divorce with Grace Ekirapa

Actor Pascal Tokodi has addressed his divorce from Grace Ekirapa, saying while his marriage was primarily meant to be private; his relationship with the media personality only came to be known when photos from their wedding leaked on social media in September 2020.

He adds that even after ‘silently’ breaking up with Ms. Ekirapa, their separation also suddenly leaked on media platforms unexpectedly.

“The media coverage surrounding my divorce was unexpected and intrusive. It felt like a violation of my personal space. I believe that people should respect each other’s privacy and focus on their own lives,” the actor says, adding that he is still undergoing a sensitive period and processing the turn of events.

The decorated thespian explains that he has not been able to address his separation from Ms. Ekirapa publicly on social media because he does not use his platforms to settle private matters.

“Social media is not the place to share your matters. After all, most of these people are strangers. Instead, I always recommend talking to a therapist or someone trustworthy who can help you keep things in perspective and out of the public eye. I have always kept my personal life private,” he says.

On co-parenting their daughter, the actor confirms it’s an easy journey with his ex-wife.

“Co-parenting with Grace is wonderful. Grace is a wonderful woman, and being the mother of my child, I am sure my daughter will get the best foundation she deserves,” the actor says.

The couple silently separated in early 2024 after a three-year marriage.
