Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka were among the prominent guests who attended the wedding of David James Kimoi, the son of KANU Chairman and former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.
The ceremony, held in a modest but magnificent setting, brought together close family, political allies, and friends to celebrate James and his bride’s marriage.
Kenyatta and Kalonzo made a rare public appearance at the event, and the Moi family greeted them cordially.

Their attendance underlined the long-standing political and personal connections amongst major figures in Kenya’s political environment.
James Kimoi, Gideon Moi’s son, married in a ceremony that combined cultural richness and modern beauty.
Guests appreciated the couple’s grace and the Moi family’s warm hospitality, with several mentioning the strong sense of unity and tradition that pervaded the event.
Speaking during the event, Kalonzo Musyoka congratulated the newlyweds and lauded the Moi family for upholding values of family and respect.

Though not speaking formally, Uhuru was seen engaging warmly with guests and sharing light moments with former colleagues.
On the other hand, Gideon Moi used his socials to share beautiful moments captured at the wedding ceremony of his son.
He mentioned that he is a proud parent seeing his son James walk down the aisle with his wife Ivy Meli.
“My wife Zahra and I are proud as parents watching our son, James Kimoi, exchanging vows today with the love of his life, Ivy Meli, and making a life-long commitment to be a loving, supporting, present and intentional husband.
As a family, we welcome Ivy into our fold. We cherish and adore her as our daughter. May God bless their union and grant them the grace to walk this journey of love together,” Gideon Moi shared.
