Tanqueray, the world’s No. 1 premium gin, has officially unveiled Showtime, a bold new cultural platform designed to elevate everyday moments into unforgettable experiences.

The launch took place at an exclusive soirée hosted at the picturesque Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages, bringing together creatives, tastemakers, and industry leaders for an immersive introduction to the brand’s latest vision.

At its core, Showtime celebrates Tanqueray’s commitment to style, creativity, and craftsmanship—transforming ordinary occasions into extraordinary, statement-making moments for discerning consumers.

“At EABL, we are deeply committed to investing in Kenya’s hospitality and creative industries,” said Alvin Mbugua, General Manager – Spirits, EABL.

“These sectors are vital to our economy and culture, providing opportunity and employment for thousands of young Kenyans. Through platforms like Showtime, we are proud to create a stage where talented chefs, designers, and artists can showcase their skills, gain recognition, and scale their careers.”

The launch event delivered a multi-sensory experience that brought the Showtime platform to life, anchored on its key pillars: style, lifestyle, gastronomy, cocktail artistry, and sustainability.

A thought-provoking panel discussion explored the essence of the platform and Tanqueray’s ambition to redefine cultural experiences.

Moderated by Paul Gachoi, Diageo Luxury Spirits Brand Ambassador, the conversation featured insights from fashion innovators Scovia Miruka of Hawi Ready to Wear and James Ongweny of Itikadi, alongside Karen Blixen Head Chef Cosmas Kituku and Ramani Warehouse.

The panelists shared their creative journeys and reflected on how collaborating with a global brand like Tanqueray provides a dynamic canvas to expand and elevate their work.

“For nearly two centuries, Tanqueray has been defined by its refined craftsmanship,” said Jean Nyawara–Okech, Head of Marketing – Spirits, EABL.

“With Showtime, we are bringing the legacy to life for a modern audience. We believe every moment with Tanqueray should feel like a performance worthy of the stage, and we are excited to bring this elevated experience to consumers in Kenya.”

Following the panel, guests were ushered into the inaugural Showtime culinary experience, where gastronomy took center stage.

Chef Cosmas Kituku curated a bespoke Swahili-inspired menu, expertly infused with Tanqueray No. TEN and Tanqueray London Dry Gin, offering a refined fusion of heritage and innovation.

The dining experience was paired with a selection of signature cocktails crafted by Wangari Mwangi, Diageo Luxury Spirits Brand Ambassador, further enhancing the sensory journey.

“Showtime gives enriched-experience seekers a new way to connect with Tanqueray through creativity, culture, and craft,” said Nancy Nansikombi, Tanqueray Brand Manager, East Africa.

“We’re designing immersive experiences that unite fashion, lifestyle, gastronomy, cocktail mastery, and sustainability. Kenya continues to lead in creativity, and Showtime allows us to work with the country’s boldest talent to bring elevated, premium moments to our consumers.”

With the launch of Showtime, Tanqueray opens a new chapter in Kenya—one that invites consumers to step into the spotlight and elevate their everyday moments.

Through this platform, the brand continues to cement its position as a curator of exceptional, stylish, and memorable experiences.
