Top Wasafi FM presenter Dida has sadly passed away

Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz and his Wasafi Media family are mourning the untimely demise of top Wasafi FM presenter Khadija Shaibu popularly known as Dida.

The MashamSham lead Presnter passed away last night while receiving treatment at the Muhimbili Hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Reports reaching famous media indicate that Dida had been hospitalized with ulcer complications before she succumbed to her illness.

“It’s like a dream and I wish someone could slap me to wake up from this bad dream.  I can’t believe that my sister is no more. She is the one who brought me to this side. It will take me a long time to come to terms with her demise. It’s painful,” Idris Kitaa, Dida’s co-host said.

The Wasafi management also mourned Dida as a dedicated individual who loved her work.

“The Wasafi m, management sadly announces the passing of one of our preenters for the Mashamsham program on Wasafi FM Khadija Shaibu aka Dida.  Dida was known for her excellence in the radio industry and her style of doing shows,” part of the statement said.

“She was the number female presenter and a buig influence to fellow women who looked at her as an example. We join her family, friends, and relatives in celebrating her life and all the good things she did in the media industry. We pray that God will keep her in eternal peace,”.

Dida will be laid to rest today in Dar eas Salaam as per Muslim customs.

“Ratiba Rasmi ya Mazishi ya Mpendwa wetu Khadija Shaibu ( Dida ), ambapo Siku ya Leo Oktoba 5 2024 Mwili wake unatarajiwa kupumzishwa kwenye Makazi yake ya Milele Kwenye Makaburi ya Kisutu Jijini Dar es salaam Majira ya Saa 10 Alasiri,” Wasafi TV said in an update.
